The Cho-sen One: Koreatown woman wins $920K with quick pick lottery ticket
January 15, 2015
A Korean woman surnamed Cho recently won $920,000 from the California State Lottery’s Mega Millions.
Cho bought a five dollar quick pick lottery ticket from a 7-Eleven convenience store located in Los Angeles’ Koreatown on the corner of Wilshire Blvd. and Wilton Pl.
Coincidentally, another Korean man had purchased a winning lottery ticket from the same location less than a month ago on Dec. 18, 2014.
Lottery officials did not reveal what Cho planned to do with the winnings.
