Texas Rangers introduce 24-inch sandwich named after Korean OF
The Choo-mongus to be sold for $26
The Texas Rangers on Thursday unveiled a whopping 24-inch Asian beef sandwich named after the Korean outfielder Choo Shin-soo.
It’s called The Choomongus, and you could say the name fits both the size and the $26 price tag.
Shawn Mattox, general manager of the concessions provider for Globe Life Park in Arlington, admitted that they don’t actually expect to sell a lot of Choomongouses.
“It does feed a family of four, and if we sell enough that, from a business sense, it works. But really, for us, it’s about having fun with food,” he said.
The Rangers’ home field, Globe Life Park in Arlington, will also sell $7 “Bacon on a stick” and $7.75 “Frozen beer” this season.
