Choo blasts early home run in biggest game of his life
October 14, 2015
By Brian Han
Game 5 of the American League Divisional Series is the furthest Texas Rangers outfielder Choo Shin-soo has ever been in the playoffs.
The South Korean showed that he’s capable of rising to the occasion Wednesday after hitting a solo home run off of Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Marcus Stroman in the top of the second inning.
Choo connected on an inside fastball that he sent flying over the right field wall.
So far he is 1-for-2 with a run and an RBI.
If the Rangers can close this game out with their ace Cole Hamels on the mound, they will move on to the AL Championship series for the first time since 2011.
