CL releases ‘Dopeness’ in collaboration with The Black Eyed Peas
SEOUL, Oct. 26 (Yonhap) — K-pop singer CL released a new song Friday in collaboration with the American pop band The Black Eyed Peas.
The song “Dopeness,” produced by the band’s member will.i.am, was released as the sixth track of the American act’s new 12-track album, “Masters of the Sun, Vol 1.”
CL and other the band members, apl.de.ap and Taboo, also took part in the making of the song, according to CL’s management agency YG Entertainment.
CL wove her quick-fire English-language rap into the collaboration, blending naturally with the band’s music.
This is the latest in a series of partnerships between CL and members of The Black Eyed Peas. Previous collaborations include will.i.am’s solo song “Gettin’ Dumb” and a joint performance at the Mnet Asian Music Awards in 2011.
