Comedian, singer date after meeting on variety show
SEOUL, Aug. 4 (Yonhap) — Comedian Kim Gook-jin and singer Kang Soo-ji have been dating since meeting on their TV variety show “Burning Youth,” officials close to them said Thursday.
The 51-year-old Kim and 49-year-old Kang have been called the “chihuahua couple” on the SBS TV show which launched in March last year.
“The two have been seeing each other with good feelings as appeared on ‘Burning Youth,’” an official close to Kang said in a phone interview with Yonhap News Agency.
Kim’s management agency also confirmed the report but denied speculation the two plan to get married.
Shortly after the news broke, producers of ‘Burning Youth’ released a photo of the couple that was taken earlier in the day during the show’s filming.
“The producers have long wished for this to happen,” they said in a message accompanying the photo.
