Councilman Ryu launches spiffy new site to help connect with residents
By Brian Han
Los Angeles City Councilman David Ryu revealed a new website Thursday with the primary intention of providing a channel to communicate more easily with local residents.
It’s been approximately 100 days since the Korean American politician was sworn into office, and now his honeymoon period is coming to a close.
There has been growing demand for online communication with the councilman, and the new website aims to tackle that. Now anyone can visit his site and sign up for a newsletter for regular updates, something that his office had yet to provide up until now.
Furthermore, constituents can post reactions and share feedback on each of the updates he provides.
Ryu is the first Korean American to serve on the L.A. City Council and the second Asian American to do so.
His new website can be viewed at http://www.davideryu.com/
