Daniel Dae Kim joins new film based on North Korea memoir

Daniel Dae Kim, of “Hawaii Five-O” and “Lost” fame, is aboard to star in and co-develop a film adapted from Mike Kim’s hit memoir, “Escaping North Korea.”
According to Deadline.com, Daniel Dae Kim’s production company 3AD and Das Films will make a feature film written by Rosalind Ross.
The book, released in 2008, details Mike Kim’s journey and struggles as he helps thousands of North Koreans escape the country through a makeshift underground railroad.
Be Funny Studios co-CEO Chris S. Lee will join the project as producer, and Haroon Saleem as executive producer, Deadline reported.
