Defending champ Park Inbee out to reclaim world No. 1 at major
Korean golfer Park Inbee will tee off with American Lexi Thompson and Norwegian Suzann Pettersen in round one of the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship Thursday.
Organizer’s posted the tee times on their official website on Tuesday for the first two rounds at the Westchester Country Club in Harrison, New York.
Thompson is looking to secure a second major tournament win after clinching the Kraft Nabisco Championship (now known as the ANA Inspiration) in 2014, and Pettersen was the winner of last week’s Manulife Classic.
World No. 1 Lydia Ko has been grouped with American Christina Kim and Korean Ryu So-yeon in group 11.
Ko is out to defend her No. 1 ranking, while Park is looking to reclaim it. Park is the defending champion at the Women’s PGA Championship, formerly known as the LPGA Championship presented by Wegmans.
