Don’t miss the ultimate College Expo!

The Korea Times College Expo, featuring admissions guides, know-hows and preparation information for college-bound students and their parents, will be held at Sa-rang Community Church in Anaheim from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 6.

Experts and admissions counselors at colleges around the U.S. will offer advice on current admissions trends at the expo, now in its fifth annual year.

Attendees will hear a lecture on acceptance into Ivy League schools and other private institutions by University of Chicago admissions counselor Emily Benoit, as well as a talk on admission into the University of California system by Rachel Hagan, a freshman admissions reader at UC Berkeley.

Other topics covered at the event will include up-to-date information on the SAT and ACT, considering jobs when choosing a major, admissions into medical and pharmacy schools, military academies and art schools, how to write essays, a case study of successful Ivy League applicants, financial assistance, preparation information for parents with students in elementary and middle schools and an aptitude test.

A 100-page college admissions guide will be given out to expo attendees.
