Korean American candidates continue their last-ditch efforts through the weekend
Michelle Park Steel, a Republican candidate for the 2nd District seat for the Orange County Board of Supervisors, campaigned on Saturday for the upcoming June 3 primary elections.
At an event held at a Fountain Valley home, she spoke to a crowd of 30 supporters.
“Politician Michelle exists thanks to the support of Korean voters,” she said. “If all Koreans voted for me in this election, the seat would be confirmed even before the November general elections.”
Steel, who is running against Allan Mansoor, has raised $600,000 in campaign funds and was given the support of the Orange County Register.
Another Korean candidate, Young Kim, was also on the last days of her campaign Saturday as she made phone calls to potential voters alongside 10 volunteers inside her Buena Park office.
Kim, a Republican candidate for the 65th District seat in the State Assembly, said the results of this election would depend on about 2,000 Korean voters.
