Even on vacation, Dodgers’ Ryu Hyun-jin continues training
By Brian Han
Los Angeles Dodgers’ pitcher Ryu Hyun-jin flew back to his hometown of Incheon, South Korea earlier this week.
It’s something a lot of professional baseball players do once the grueling 162-game season comes to a close (more if your team made it to the playoffs).
A vacation at that point is well deserved.
But for the 28-year-old, the circumstances are a bit different. He missed the entire 2015 season due to a shoulder surgery to repair a torn labrum.
So even though he might be in Incheon to see friends and family, Ryu is giving himself a head start by continuing his training and rehab as exhibited by his latest Instagram post.
In the video, he works on his lower body in a scenic high rise gym located in Seoul.
A week ago, he posted another of himself deadlifting 350 pounds with ease. Ryu’s agent Scott Boras also notified reporters around that time that his player began throwing long toss with no pain and should see a full recovery by spring training.
