EXO’s second album pre-order sales hit 500K
Pre-orders for EXO’s second album, “Exodus,” hit 500,000 sales, Yonhap reported.
SM Entertainment said Wednesday that Korean-language EXO-K albums received 321,200 pre-orders and Chinese EXO-M albums 181,240 orders, totaling 502,440.
In 2014, EXO topped album sales at No. 1 and No. 2, with EXO-K’s “Overdose” selling 232,206 and EXO-M’s version selling 174,661, according to local media.
In 2013, EXO broke records when its first album, “XOXO,” became South Korea’s first million-seller in 12 years.
“Exodus,” which is available in 20 different versions, looks poised to take over the first half of the K-pop scene — it topped domestic music charts upon its release this week and hit No. 5 on iTunes’ worldwide chart early Tuesday.
