Fans lineup for the 13th Annual Korea Times Music Festival tickets
K-pop fans lined up outside The Korea Times L.A. headquarters over the weekend to secure tickets for the 13th Annual Korea Times Music Festival at The Hollywood Bowl — an event that featured heavy-hitters last year including EXO, Crayon Pop and 2AM among many others.
Dozens waited with blankets, chairs and even sleeping bags.
“I’ve been waiting a long time to get my hands on tickets,” said an excited fan.
The festival has built quite a positive reputation over the years and draws fans from even the most unexpected places.
25-year-old Cathy Acevedo and her mother flew seven hours from Alaska to get in line for tickets.
“There’s nothing like seeing Korea’s top stars in person,” Cassie said. “We’ve been coming every year since 2010 and we wanted to make sure to get the best tickets.”
Others chose to try their luck online, but with so many people trying to buy tickets, the servers shut down as soon as the tickets became available, which left fans in the dark for about 25 minutes.
The concert will be held on May 2.
