First album from BTS agency’s new boy band exceeds 100,000 in presales
The debut album by a new boy group from BTS’ management agency has already scored 104,385 pre-orders ahead of its release next month, the album’s distributor said Friday.
Tomorrow X Together’s album titled “The Dream Chapter: Star” achieved the milestone only two days after it became available for pre-orders Wednesday, Iriver said.
“It is unusual that a rookie group that has not even formally debuted scored more than 100,000 pre-orders in just three days,” Big Hit Entertainment, the management agency, said in a release.
Tomorrow X Together has received much attention from K-pop fans around the world as the first group from Big Hit since it launched BTS in 2013.
The new group is scheduled to hold a media showcase of its debut album on March 5.
The record has five tracks, including “Blue Orangeade,” “Crown,” “Our Summer” and “Cat & Dog.”
