First web series festival launched in Korea
April 3, 2015
South Korea is getting its first web series festival this summer with K WEB FEST 2015.
The festival will bring a variety of web series content from Korea, Italy, Australia and the United States to show at K-Seoul Hotel on July 30 and 31.
Hosted by JS Top Entertainment and sponsored by South Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the event is partnered with LA WEB FEST.
Young-man Kang, founder of K WEB FEST and a speaker at this year’s LA WEB FEST, said he hopes to see Internet content from Korea follow in Hallyu’s footsteps.
