Five Nobel laureates plan North Korea visit
November 5, 2015
Five Nobel laureates will visit North Korea in April next year as a part of a program involving visits to Asian universities, according to Johns Hopkins University Professor Peter Agre Thursday.
Agre, who received a Nobel Prize in 2003, said during a Voice of America interview that the trip is planned for April 30 to May 7.
The special program is held by the International Peace Foundation’s “Bridges – The Dialogues Towards a Culture of Peace,” which has the patronage of a group of Nobel laureates seeking to initiate a sharing of ideas and discussions.
Agre has visited North Korea on three occasions, in 2009, in 2011 and this year.
