Former Girl’s Generation member Jessica files complaint against trolls
SEOUL, Aug. 29 (Yonhap) — Jessica, a former member of the popular K-pop group Girl’s Generation, has filed a complaint against netizens who wrote malicious comments about her, police said Monday.
The 27-year-old singer-actor filed the petition with the Gangnam Police Station earlier this month, seeking an investigation into two online users for allegedly insulting her, according to the police.
The netizens are accused of writing comments belittling her looks and sexually harassing her below Jessica’s photos posted on the local Internet portal site Naver in May, according to the police.
The singer is known to have said during the police questioning that the trolls were habitual in writing such comments.
Jessica departed from Girl’s Generation in September 2014 and made a solo debut in May.
