Free dance class for entire family this Saturday
The KOA Dance Federation in Los Angeles will host a free dance class for the entire family at the 34th Family Dance Fair on May 3.
Jean Choi, president of the federation, said about 10 instructors will be in attendance to demonstrate and teach ballet, jazz, hip-hop, breakdance, rhythm ribbon dance, tap dance and acrobatics.
She said the event is being opened in celebration of May, which is a month of family in Korea, and to spread the popularity of dance.
Programs will include following dance movements, trying on pointe shoes and ballet tutus, lessons on how to use dance props and drawing ballerina figures. The fair will also offer a photo booth for those who dream of becoming ballerinas, she said.
“Any parents and children who are love and are interested in dance can participate in comfortable clothing,” Choi said. “I hope families come to the fair to think once more about the importance of family and to better understand one another.”
