Good news: Rescued puppy becomes symbol of hope after Tianjin explosion

Amid the rubble and debris of the Tianjin explosion, rescuers came across a puppy who was unscathed.
The dog quickly became a symbol of hope for the ravaged city. Chinese soldiers who examined the dog called its survival “miraculous” according to BBC News.
The puppy, named “Shenghua” by the rescuers, stayed by the sides of those who had found him and would not leave their sides.
His photo spread across social media and many welcomed the positive sight in light of the tragedy.
“We have been reading so many stories of death and loss, especially our young firefighters. So I am glad to hear how a tiny puppy has become a story of strength and kindness in China today,” Weibo user Yang Yi Chang said.
