Hallyu star Kim Soo-hyun and his fans donated 11.1 tons of rice Tuesday to Salvation Army Korea’s charity pot to help South Korea’s needy Tuesday, according to KeyEast Entertainment.
The 1,004 bags of rice were collected by Kim’s fans around the globe beginning with 520 kilograms in March 2014 during the star’s appearance in the television drama “Man From Another Star.”
In July, fans joined hands for 730 kilograms in celebration of Kim’s seventh debut anniversary, and earlier this year, another 9.85 tons of rice was collected to support the actor during his run on the TV drama “Producer.”
Kim and his fans have donated 20 tons of rice toward the needy since 2012.
