Hallyu star Song Seung-heon dating Chinese actress Liu Yifei
By Tae Hong
South Korean actor Song Seung-heon, 38, and Chinese actress Liu Yifei, 27, are in a relationship.
Song’s agency, Better Ent, confirmed the news Wednesday and told Yonhap the pair, who met while filming Chinese melodrama film “Third Love” last year, have just started dating.
Chinese media reported on the couple this week with photos of the stars enjoying a date, and said Song had already met with Liu’s parents.
“A lot of reports by the Chinese media are fabricated,” Better Ent said. “They’ve been busy and haven’t been able to meet often. They usually communicate through phone calls or texts and have not been able to meet physically many times.”
Song is currently filming a movie in China. Liu, a Chinese American actress who debuted in 2002 through a television drama, has starred in a number of films through the years, notably “The Forbidden Kingdom” in 2008.
“Third Love” was helmed by Korean director Lee Jae-han, who was responsible for “Into the Fire” and “A Moment to Remember.” It is slated for release later this year in China.
