Han Hee-jun, Christopher Duffley perform to benefit scholarships for disabled
The Milal Mission in Southern California hosted three of its annual Milal Night concerts in Southern California this weekend to raise scholarship funds for disabled students.
The mission, which celebrated its 35th anniversary this year, invited Korean American singer Han Hee-jun, as well as 13-year-old blind and autistic singer Christopher Duffley, to perform at three churches in the area.
Money from the concerts goes toward the organization’s scholarship program, which has given about $1.6 million since 2001, including $161,400 to 102 students this year.
Sponsored by Forever 21 and Ace Engineering, the concerts took place at All Nations Church in Lake View Terrace, Glory Church of Jesus Christ in Los Angeles and Bethel Korean Church in Irvine.
