Henrik Stenson’s ball attacked by bird at 2015 British Open
July 17, 2015
St. Andrews is known for its deep pot bunkers and raging winds, but for world No.7 golfer Henrik Stenson, mother nature added another challenge to his plate during Friday’s round — a crow with an appetite for golf balls.
Stenson hit a beautiful tee shot on the par-4 15th hole, but before the ball had settled a crow had already eyed its next victim.
Luckily the bird wasn’t strong enough to take the ball out of play or even damage it as Stenson went on to par the hole.
