Hyeri gets out of hospital
K-pop band Girl’s Day member Hyeri, perhaps better known has the heroine of tvN’s hit series “Reply 1988,” has been released from the hospital Thursday after days of intensive treatment for meningitis.
Hyeri was diagnosed with meningitis on March 6, after being rushed to the hospital with severe headache and high fever.
Meningitis is a disease caused by the inflammation of the protective membrane covering the brain and spinal cord known as the meninges, according to the Center for Disease Control. Meningitis may develop in response to a number of causes, usually bacteria or virus, and can be deadly.
Hyeri’s agency, Dream Tea Entertainment, said her headache is gone, but she is advised to rest and all her scheduled appearances remain canceled for the time being.
