HyunA’s ‘Red’ one of 10 best music videos in 2014, Rolling Stone says
January 5, 2015
K-pop star HyunA’s “Red” was chosen as one of 2014′s 10 best music videos by Rolling Stone magazine, released Monday.
“Hyuna’s K-pop hit is a schizophrenic mess, switching from trap and hip-hop to bubbly pop and slinky Middle Eastern electro,” the magazine said. “The video does its best to keep up.”
The 22-year-old singer is the only Asian artist on the list.
“Red,” the headlining song of the 4minute member’s solo album, launched HyunA to the top of K-pop charts upon its release in July. It has amassed more than 20 million YouTube views since.
She was joined on the list by Beyonce’s “Pretty Hurts” and Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space.”
