WASHINGTON, July 1 (Yonhap) — Hyundai Motor Co. and its smaller affiliate, Kia Motors Corp., saw their combined sales in the United States grow 7 percent in June, thanks to a 16 percent jump in Kia’s sales, industry data showed Friday.
The two South Korean auto giants sold a combined 130,083 units in the U.S. last month, up from 121,639 units during the same period last year, the data showed.

Kia said the January-June sales of 328,327 units marked the best-ever first half sales.
Sport utility vehicles led the rise in Kia’s sales.
