Illinois car crash kills 3 including Korean nun

Edward Carthans, 81, was seen slumped over his steering wheel by witnesses before his Ford truck ran through an intersection and collided with four other cars in Evergreen Park, Illinois.
Carthans died at the scene of the accident along with two nuns from the Little Company of Mary Sisters including Sister Kim Kab Kyoung, 48, and Sister Jean Stickney, 86.
A few minutes before the collision, he was involved in a hit-and-run and fled at an approximate speed of 80-100 miles per hour according to a police report.
Eleven other individuals were hospitalized with two in critical condition.
