Jay Park signs with Jay-Z’s label Roc Nation

SEOUL, July 21 (Yonhap) — South Korean rapper and producer Park Jae-bum, also known as Jay Park, has signed with American rapper and businessman Jay-Z, according to the two parties.

Roc Nation, established by the American rapper, posted a photo of Jay Park on its official Instagram on Friday, saying, “We are excited to announce @JParkitrighthere has officially signed with #RocNation! Welcome to the #RocFam!!!.”

@JParkitrighthere is Jay Park’s Instagram account.

In return, Park wrote on his Instagram, “This is a win for hard work and dedication…Thank you for the acknowledgment and recognition… Just gettin’ started.”

Roc Nation is an entertainment company that, among other things, manages global pop stars like Rihanna, DJ Khaled and J. Cole.

According to label AOMG headed by Jay Park, the negotiation started late last year and the American company is expected to help Park in producing music and working in the U.S.

Park is currently visiting New York for meetings with Roc Nation officials, AOMG said.
