Joseph Kahn able to stream “POWER/RANGERS” fan film after copyright dispute
February 27, 2015
By Brian Han
Director Joseph Kahn confirmed Friday afternoon that he will be able to stream his “POWER/RANGERS” fan film online after it was taken off of Vimeo and YouTube just a few days after its Feb. 24 release.
“I am literally at my agent’s office signing paperwork right now to get [POWER/RANGERS] back on,” he wrote on Reddit. “You should see it soon. Internet YOU WON.”
The two video hosting sites, due to copyright concerns, had decided to take the short film down as a safety measure.
At the moment, there is no timetable as to when the videos will be posted from Kahn’s official accounts, but the film has been readily available due to fans who are reposting the video on YouTube.
