JYP beats out Miss A to top music charts with ‘Who’s Your Mama’
April 13, 2015
Park Jin-young, producer of the eponymous JYP Entertainment, surpassed a girl group of his own tutelage to land No. 1 across nine music charts in South Korea with his new single, “Who’s Your Mama.”
The hit, his first in two years, dropped Sunday and headlines the single album “24/34.”
“Who’s Your Mama,” a bootylicious beat described as “electronic soul,” beat out Miss A’s “Only You” to crown the top of major Korean charts like MelOn, Olleh Music, Bugs, Naver, Daum and Soribada.
Park is a longtime pop star whose beloved tracks include “Honey” and “She Was Pretty.” He is currently active as a judge on the television singing audition show “K-Pop Star.”
