KCON announces K-pop lineup for New York event
SEOUL (Yonhap) — South Korean entertainment giant CJ E&M on Wednesday disclosed the lineup of K-pop stars to rock the New York run of KCON, the company’s overseas convention that introduces hit Korean cultural content to the world.
The concert lineup for “KCON 2016 NY” is loaded with some of the hottest K-pop musicians, including Dynamic Duo, Mamamoo, the Bangtan Boys, BTOB, Seventeen, Eric Nam, Ailee, Crush and DAY6, according to the entertainment leg of South Korean conglomerate CJ.
This year’s “KCON 2016 NY” will take place at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, from June 24 to 25. Celebrating the fifth annual KCON New York, CJ E&M extended the formerly one-day event by a day.
“We hope that those who are not familiar with K-pop, as much as the K-pop fans, will come by and enjoy the cultural variety in KCON events and concerts,” said an official of CJ E&M.
A month later, CJ E&M will launch the Los Angeles run of KCON in the LA Convention Center from July 29 to 31.
