Kim Byung-man, Ha Ji-won win grand prizes
Comedian Kim Byung-man took home the grand prize at the 2013 SBS Entertainment Awards, beating out prominent candidates including TV personalities Yoo Jae-seok, Kang Ho-dong and Lee Kyung-kyu, Monday.
“This prize is more than I deserve,” he said tearfully to a standing ovation. “Yoo, Kang and Lee have surpassed this prize. I’m grateful because they are the ones who have embraced and taught me.”
Kim appeared on “Law of the Jungle,” a survival reality show. He had been nominated for his dedication to the program for five years.
Meanwhile, actress Ha Ji-won won the grand prize at the 2013 MBC Drama Awards for starring in the drama “Empress Ki.”
“The trophy may be in my hands, but so many others toil to produce a drama,” she said. “I would like to attribute this glory to all the ‘Empress Ki’ staff.”
