Kim Soo-hyun wins top prize at drama awards second year running
October 9, 2015
South Korean top star Kim Soo-hyun picked up his second grand prize two years in a row at the Korea Drama Awards Friday in Korea.
Kim starred in the highly rated KBS television drama “The Producers” as a rookie television variety producer this year following a career-making turn in “Man From Another Star.”
He thanked his co-stars and staff in a tearful speech.
“Playing the role of Baek Seung-chan, a new employee, was a chance to think about those who act with their beginnings in mind,” he said. “I’ll take that mentality and that energy into my next project.”
“The Producers” saw a win in best production, as did SBS’s “Yong-pal” with screenwriting and tvN’s “Misaeng,” which picked up best drama.
