Knife-wielding man terrorizes JYP Entertainment office
Seoul police detained a man who allegedly broke into the headquarters of music label JYP Entertainment Thursday afternoon and threatened employees with a knife.
According to investigators, the suspect, in his 30s and identified only as Choi, passed security by tailing an employee closely. He walked up to the third floor where a recording studio is located and demanded to staff members he meet Park Jin-young, singer and JYP CEO.
When the employees refused, he drew a large kitchen-knife with a 30-centimeter blade. He wielded the knife violently before eventually throwing it. It took 10 minutes for police to arrive at the scene and arrest Choi.
Choi told police he was angry that JYP did not reach him back after he applied for a job two years ago.
