Korean American Service Day to host five-city volunteer effort
October 12, 2015
An organization of young leaders will hold Korean American Service Day across five cities Oct. 17.
Volunteers will participate in opportunities by churches, community centers and other non-profits in New York, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
As a community outreach effort by Network of Korean American Leaders (NetKAL), the day is open to all Korean students in middle and high schools.
“Our vision is to create an annual occasion for Korean Americans and their families, friends and networks to support their local communities,” NetKAL writes on its website.
