Korean American sports festival kicks off DC fundraising effort

A fundraising dinner for the 18th Korean American National Sports Festival was held inside Westin Washington Dulles Airport hotel Saturday.
The festival’s organizing committee aims to hold the largest celebration of Korean American athletes this coming June 19 to 21.
Festival President Ahn Kyung-ho said Washington D.C., had been the host to eight successful years.
Committee Head Sam Jung said the Korean American community, including sports figures, politicians and churches, are pulling together for the event.
The fundraising goal is $300,000.
