Korean announcer denies Park Tae-hwan dating rumors

Korea’s favorite swimmer and an SBS announcer denied they are in a relationship Thursday in Korea, TV Report said.

Various Korean media reported Thursday that Park Tae-hwan, 25, and Jang Ye-won, 24, are seeing each other after being seen together going to the movies and on car dates.

SBS denied the rumor Thursday to MyDaily and said the two are just close friends.

Jang, who gained attention this year during the World Cup as a sportscaster, is SBS’s youngest announcer.

Park was the first-ever Korean swimmer to win a gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
