Korean Art & Soul cultural night coming to DC
A night of Korean Art & Soul, featuring musical performances, food and cultural demonstrations, is coming to George Washington University’s Lisner Auditorium on Nov. 15, according to organizers Korean Cultural Center DC and Korean American Cultural Art Foundation.
Among the offerings at the event will be hands-on cooking demonstrations, a chance to try on traditional Korean hanbok and Korean cuisine by American chefs from five local restaurants.
Performance group NANTA, as well as a fashion show by designer Park Ji-hyun and acclaimed opera singers — including Soprano Chunghwa Lim and Bass Kwangkyu Lee — will follow.
“This night is meaningful in that we are working continuously to spread Korean culture,” said Lee Tae-mi, an event director.
General admission is $45, and VIP tickets are $75. Tickets are available at the door or through lisner.gwu.edu.
