Korean calligraphy exhibition open at Chicago Korean Cultural Center
March 17, 2015
An exhibition highlighting the beauty of Korean calligraphy will be open at the Korean Cultural Center of Chicago through March 31.
On display are about 70 works by students of Kit-beol Village Calligrapher Lee Chul-woo.
“We put on this exhibition to show off the creativity and excellence of written Korean, the greatest traditional and cultural heritage of Korea, to both the Korean American community and the American community,” Lee said.
Moon Hong-chul, one of Lee’s students, said he hopes the exhibition is an opportunity for many people to appreciate the beauty and diversity of Korean.
