SEOUL, July 28 (Yonhap) — “The Queen of Crime,” a domestic comedy-thriller film, has been sold to five Asian nations before it opens in its home country, the film’s distributor said Thursday.
The five are Japan, Taiwan, China (Hong Kong and Macau), Singapore and Malaysia, according to Contents Panda.
Directed by Lee Yo-sup, the movie is about a housewife named Mi-gyeong (Park Ji-young) who comes to realize a crime is underway while trying to investigate the excessively high water bill charged to her son who lives in a small, single room flat.
It is set to open on Aug. 25 in South Korea.
