Korean history exhibit to be shown at LA Korean Festival
March 24, 2015
The 42nd Los Angeles Korean Festival, coming October, will include a Korean history exhibit.
The festival committee said the exhibit will detail South Korean history from ancient times to the present, including sections about controversial modern-day topics such as the comfort women and the rights to Dokdo island.
Park Yoon-sook, festival president, said plans to broadcast the event on local television through Time Warner and LA18.
This year’s festival will be held at Seoul International Park in Koreatown under a theme of communication and sharing. It will begin October 1 and hold its parade October 3 on Olympic Boulevard.
