Korean market sells winning Mega Millions ticket
A winning Mega Millions lottery ticket was sold at a Korean market.
According to C&D, located inside Los Angeles Koreatown, a Korean customer purchased the ticket.
California State Lottery said Friday that two second-place winners correctly guessed all five numbers but not the mega number and that one of those tickets was sold at the C&D.
The second-place prize has been split into two, with $468,905 going to each winner.
The owner of C&D said the Korean who won has not yet revealed his or her identity.
“I’m glad the second-place Mega Millions winner came out of a Korean business,” said C&D’s Jo Dong-su. “I hope many Korean winners come out of our business in the future.”
Meanwhile, no first-place winner of the Mega Millions lottery has emerged. The jackpot has now risen to $121 million.
