With the child abuse scandal occurring in a South Korean daycare center, another arose on Thursday in the United States.
A 24-year-old Korean woman was arrested by Bell County authorities in Texas for allegedly harming her 4-year-old son.
An anonymous source filed a report that she had been engaged in child abuse.
When the officers had arrived, they found that the boy had bruises on his face.
Police allege that the child had been struck in the face by a slipper as well as plastic hangers.
The string of child abuse incidents is now starting to show a disturbing trend that may exist among Korean communities.
The woman has since been imprisoned in a Bell County jail with a $100,000 bail.
