Korean woman becomes 5th fatal victim of Seattle bus crash
A Korean woman in her 20s who was involved in a deadly crash between a charter bus and a tour vehicle in Seattle died Sunday, according to a Harborview Medical Center spokeswoman.
She was one of five who have died since the collision, which happened at approximately 11:13 a.m. last Thursday on Aurora Bridge.
The woman had been in critical condition with a head injury.
The hospital did not release her name or nationality but confirmed she was an international student attending North Seattle College.
Sources in the local Korean American community say the woman was from Korea.
About 50 were injured, some critically, in the accident, including 13 other Koreans, according to the Seattle Consulate General.
The charter bus was carrying international students and staff on their way to orientation for North Seattle College.
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the matter.
