KYCC’s annual holiday carnival in Koreatown draws 2,500
December 15, 2014
Koreatown Youth & Community Center hosted the 21st KYCC Holiday Carnival Saturday at Wilshire Park Elementary School, where about 2,500 gathered to celebrate the holidays.
The annual carnival set up game booths and had a Santa give out free gifts to children, with support from businesses including Mattel, NBCUniversal and Cloud B.
Korean businesses also participated, with CBB Bank providing 2,000 school supplies and the Korean American Women’s Association and KYCC itself providing pencil cases and other supplies.
“This started as a small event for the Korean American community but has grown into a representative Koreatown event that draws all kinds of crowds,” said KYCC Executive Director Song Johng-ho.
