L.A. County gasoline price drops for 45th Day
Average price dropped 31.8 cents during the streak to its lowest amount since Feb. 23
LOS ANGELES (CNS) – The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped today for the 45th consecutive day, decreasing eight-tenths of a cent to $3.861, its lowest amount since Feb. 23.
The average price in Los Angeles County has dropped 31.8 cents during the streak, including two-tenths of a cent on Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 2.7 cents less than one week ago, 20.2 cents lower than one month ago and three-tenths of a cent below what it was one year ago.
The streak of dropping prices is the longest since a 48-day streak from Oct. 10-Nov. 26, 2012.
The Orange County average price dropped for the 44th time in 45 days today, decreasing a half-cent to $3.828, its lowest amount since Feb. 21.
The Orange County average price is 3.4 cents less than one week ago, 20.8 cents lower than one month ago and nine-tenths of a cent below what it was one year ago.
