L.A. Korean Festival all set to kick off
Begins with an opening ceremony at 6:50 p.m. Thursday at Seoul International Park

Los Angeles’ largest annual celebration of Korean culture and tradition kicks off tomorrow.
The 41st Los Angeles Korean Festival, held at Seoul International Park from Sept. 18 to 21, will begin with an opening ceremony at 6:50 p.m. Thursday.
Starting with opening ceremony performers Poppin’ Hyun-joon and Park Ae-ri, flutist Jasmine Choi and traditional dancer Lee Kyung-hwa, the festival will feature a slew of talent shows and contests, food, snack cars, hundreds of booths and vendors, dance classes and Saturday’s Korean Parade through four days.
Participants will see Korean agricultural and marine goods sold and promoted at about 100 booths, as well as 180 more promoting local and nationwide Korean businesses.
The Los Angeles Korean Festival Foundation plans to operate three parking lots with shuttle buses on 3670, 3450 and 3530 Wilshire Boulevard.
