LA family victim of murder-suicide in Koreatown apartment
LOS ANGELES (CNS) – The Los Angeles County coroner’s office today released the names of two of the three people found dead over the weekend inside a Koreatown apartment, where a double murder-suicide is believed to have occurred.
One of the victims was identified as 86-year-old man Mah Saeng and the other man was identified as 54-year-old Mah Hee, said coroner’s Lt. Larry Dietz. A woman had not yet been positively identified.
The case was reported to the coroner’s office as a double murder-suicide, and autopsies are pending, Dietz said.
Detectives believe a man in the Koreatown section of Los Angeles killed his parents, then took his own life, police said.
A foul odor from an apartment prompted the manager to check the unit in the 1100 block of Crenshaw Boulevard, and the manager found the man, as well as his mother and father, dead inside.
Paramedics pronounced the family dead and called in detectives at 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
West Bureau homicide detectives asked anyone with any information regarding the deaths to call them at (213) 382-9470.
