Lee Min-ho opens Instagram account
SEOUL (Yonhap) — South Korean actor Lee Min-ho, who is also widely popular in China, has opened an official account on Instagram, a social networking service, his agency said Thursday.
The star opened the account and posted two recent photos taken in China on Wednesday afternoon, Star House Entertainment said.
“Lee began writing on Instagram for fans who have experienced inconvenience due to false accounts run by those who claim to be him. In less than a day, the number of followers to his official account topped 230,000,” the agency said.
“Because of the fake impersonators and accounts, I’m opening an account, too. This is the real MiNoMi. Fake impersonators, NoNoNo,” he wrote, referring to his long-time nickname.
Lee shot to stardom for his leading role in the South Korean soap series “Boys Over Flowers” in 2009. He is also famed for his leading roles in such dramas as “City Hunter” (2011) and “The Heirs” (2013). Most recently, he starred in the local film “Gangnam Blues,” his first leading role on the big screen.
He currently has some 16 million followers on Facebook, 27.5 million on the Chinese SNS service Weibo and 25 million on Twitter.
