Lee Min-ho, Suzy shut out breakup rumors
SEOUL, Aug. 1 (Yonhap) — Globally followed South Korean actor Lee Min-ho and his actress girlfriend Suzy denied breakup rumors, their agencies said on Monday.
After Lee’s agency MYM Entertainment and Suzy’s JYP Entertainment directly asked the star couple, both agencies told Yonhap that the breakup rumor is groundless.
The separation rumor ignited after a local media outlet reported that Lee and Suzy split after 18 months of dating, and that the two agreed to stay in contact as good friends.
This is not the first time that the top celebrity couple was confronted with breakup rumors. Similar rumors ignited in September 2015, but the actors’ agencies pinned them as false.
Since his debut in 2006, Lee has gained immense popularity and influence throughout Asia with hit dramas “Boys Over Flowers,” “City Hunter” and “The Heirs.”
Suzy, 21, entered the South Korean entertainment scene in 2010 as a member of girl group MissA. With the mega-hit film “Architecture 101″ launched in 2012, the singer-actress became the “first love” icon of many South Korean male fans.
